Sustainability Education Center, The Sustainability Education Center was created in 1995 in response to the growing need for educational materials, professional development and community education focused on sustainability. First founded as a program of The American Forum for Global Education, the Center spun off and became an independent organization in July of 2002. The Ashridge Centre for Business and Society (ACBAS) is a leading authority on relations between the corporate sector, government and communities, with particular emphasis on the changing role of business. ACBAS is part of Ashridge, the international business school based in Hertfordshire, UK. The work of ACBAS focuses on the rapidly changing relationship between public, private and voluntary sector organisations. Within this theme, ACBAS aims to further the debate on how issues of corporate governance, employee relations, supplier alliances, business values, community investment and government relations impact upon the long-term viability of business.

Asian Institute of Management - The Ramon V. del Rosario, Sr. AIM Center for Corporate Responsibility (RVR Center) is a research and program center within the Asian Institute of Management. Its main task is the management of corporate social responsibility relative to the competitiveness of firms and its impact on society. The Center is engaged in case writing and research, program development and executive education and training. A lecture series and an annual conference on Corporate Responsibility are programmed each year. A Corporate Responsibility Awards program is to be launched in the future.

Norwegian School of Management Center for Ethics and Leadership

Project SIGMA is one of the first collaborative projects of its kind seeking to provide practical guidance on how organisations can develop in more sustainable ways.  SIGMA’s unique value is that focuses on the provision of guidance as opposed to prescription and therefore avoids furthering the so called ‘check-box’ mentality.  The project is generating great interest worldwide and its guidelines (launched in mid 2003) are viewed as a model of how to implement and improve sustainability management in organisations. Freely available resources on the SIGMA site (www.projectsigma.com).  These include the guidelines themselves, plus 13 tools (developed with leading organisations) to help companies to manage their environmental and social impacts (the SIGMA toolkit).

Warwick University Corporate Citizenship Unit is centre of excellence in the area of research and teaching in corporate citizenship by bringing together diverse people from business, government, and civil society organisations to examine changes in the relationship between corporations, states and communities.

Wharton School of Management - The Carol and Lawrence Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research was established in 1997. The mission of the Center is to sponsor and disseminate leading edge research on critical topics in business ethics. The Center's broad research focus includes global business ethics, corporate governance, social contracts, deception, disclosure, bribery and corruption.

The International Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG) at the Yale School of Management (SOM) was established in July 2001.
